Business • India • Oct 2026We stayed at Essentia Premier Hotel Pune from September 19th to 20th, booking a Premium Room that included two meals. Traveling from Gujarat to Pune and then to Mumbai with my partner, we chose this package specifically for the included dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing, especially given the standards expected from a premium hotel. For dinner, we were told meals would be served buffet style, but arriving around 10:30 PM, dinner was refused. Since our package included meals, we had to order food via Zomato. When our delivery arrived, I asked the reception for a single spoon but was denied, which I found very upsetting as providing cutlery is a basic courtesy that would have taken only a moment. The next morning, we missed breakfast due to our travel schedule. Unlike other hotels where I have received reminders about breakfast times or kitchen closing, Essentia Premier Hotel Pune did not provide any such notification or assistance. Clear communication about meal timings and support for guests unable to arrive on time would have been appreciated. Additionally, although the hotel advertises over 47 amenities, many were missing from our room, including a newspaper, coffee machine, work desk, bathrobes, slippers, in-room dining, pillow menu, bathroom phone, shaving mirror, and sewing kit. When paying for a premium room and meal package, guests expect all promised services and facilities to be available or at least informed beforehand. The biggest letdown was the lack of basic guest service and flexibility. A hotel stay is not just about the room but also about how guests are treated when they need help. Receiving an apology only at checkout does not address the inconvenience experienced during the stay. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve guest service, meal communication, and amenity availability. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell short of my expectations for a premium hotel stay.
