As a Taj Epicure member, I chose this property expecting the exceptional hospitality and service standards that the Taj brand is known for. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and far below expectations.After a long journey, I checked into a Suite room around 1 PM. Since there were three guests staying, the requirement for an extra bed was clearly communicated at the time of check-in itself. Despite reminding the staff on three separate occasions from 1 PM onwards, no action was taken. It was already evening, and the extra bed had still not been provided.As a result, after a tiring journey, I had no option but to rest on a small sofa, which was extremely uncomfortable and completely defeated the purpose of booking a suite room for comfort and relaxation. The extra bed was finally provided only around 6 PM, after we had already left the room and returned later.Another disappointing aspect was the condition of the in-room entertainment facilities. The suite had two televisions’one in the lounge area and another in the bedroom. Unfortunately, neither television was working or properly activated. Despite raising this issue on three separate occasions, no resolution was provided during our stay. For a suite category room, functioning amenities should be a basic expectation and not something guests need to repeatedly follow up on.The Wi-Fi experience was equally frustrating. The internet connection was extremely poor and would frequently fail to connect. For a premium hotel, especially a suite category room, reliable Wi-Fi is a basic necessity. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst Wi-Fi experiences I have encountered at any hotel.Additionally, I had requested a few milk powder sachets, which is a very basic guest request, but even that was never delivered. While this may appear to be a minor issue, it reflects the overall lack of responsiveness and attention given to guests.The restaurant service was equally disappointing. The service was extremely slow, and even after completing our meal, obtaining the bill took an additional 30 minutes. Such delays significantly impacted the overall experience and are not what one expects from a luxury hospitality brand.What was most disappointing was not just the individual issues, but the complete lack of urgency, ownership, and guest relationship management. As a Taj Epicure member, I expected proactive service, prompt resolution of concerns, and genuine attention to guest comfort. Instead, repeated requests were ignored, and basic service expectations were not met.A suite room is not booked merely for the room category; it is booked for the experience, comfort, maintenance, and service associated with the Taj brand. Unfortunately, this stay failed on all these aspects.This has been one of my most disappointing experiences at a Taj property and certainly not what one expects as a loyal Taj Epicure member. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and takes corrective measures to improve both its maintenance standards and guest service standards.
