Calling this place a 5-star hotel is an insult to actual 5-star properties. Honestly, I wouldn’t even give it -1 star if that were possible.The service here is absolutely third-class’exactly what you’d expect from a poorly run government setup. The staff behaves as if the hotel belongs to them personally: rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. They have zero sense of how to speak to guests.I Asked for a luggage weight machine to check my luggage weight’one person says, ’Call in the morning, it will be available.’ Morning comes, and suddenly there is no machine at all. Then they casually say, ’Talk to the person who told you that.’ This kind of shameless attitude is standard here.Room access is another joke. Your key card stops working constantly, and you’re forced to recharge it every single day just to enter your own room. For a so-called luxury hotel, this is beyond ridiculous.They charge premium prices but deliver beggar-level service. If you’re actually looking for comfort, respect, or professionalism’DO NOT COME HERE.Honestly, even a basic OYO hotel offers better service than this place. If bad service, rude staff, and daily frustration are what you want, then congratulations’this hotel is perfect for you.I could write about this disaster for two more days, but this much should be enough to warn people.Worst hotel experience. Period.

The Ashok is a visually impressive hotel with beautiful, old colonial-style architecture and a real sense of grandeur. The building itself has character, the public spaces feel historic, and the room sizes are excellent ’ very large, comfortable, and generous by modern standards.However, the experience falls well short of what you’d expect from a five-star hotel.While the rooms appear clean, they are noticeably dated. Details like mould in the silicone around the shower undermine the overall presentation and suggest maintenance hasn’t kept pace with the hotel’s positioning.The biggest disappointment was service. Every interaction at the front desk felt rushed and disengaged. On more than one occasion, staff walked away mid-conversation, including while I was speaking about my room key. A sense of welcome or warmth ’ something fundamental at this level ’ was completely absent.My room key (5th floor) failed four separate times, requiring repeated trips back to reception just to access my room.Using the gym or pool was also surprisingly inconvenient. The pool is not integrated into the hotel experience, requiring a separate registration process with ID, taking around 15 minutes simply to "register" to go for a swim or workout. That kind of friction is the opposite of the seamless experience expected at a five-star property.In summary:Beautiful architecture and generous rooms, but dated facilities, poor service engagement, and fragmented amenities make the overall experience feel far below five-star standards. With investment in staff training, maintenance, and guest experience, this could be a truly outstanding hotel ’ but right now, it isn’t there.

I recently visited The Ashok, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The food was quite good, with a decent variety and satisfying taste. The ambience of the property is impressive spacious, calm, and reflective of its legacy.While the infrastructure shows its age in parts, the overall atmosphere and dining experience make it worth visiting. A good place for formal meetings, events, or a relaxed meal in a classic Delhi setting.

Worst experience about bedsheet and pillows,quilts are dirty and hair on beds, electrical switches are damaged. So we can not stay in this hotel also we demand of refund that time they commit but they declined so pl request to refund me
