As a female traveler, my stay at The Imperial Hotel and Convention in Kanpur was nothing short of a nightmare. I feel a strong obligation to warn others that this is an exceptionally unsafe and down-market establishment where a guest's basic security and privacy are blatantly compromised.The most terrifying aspect of my stay was the severe breach of personal boundaries. I experienced the highly unsettling situation of finding an unknown individual stationed directly outside my room door. This level of compromised privacy, combined with the hotel's terrible location, creates a deeply hostile environment where no woman should ever have to stay.Adding to the pathetic conditions is the absolutely abysmal behavior of the front desk staff. Hospitality is entirely nonexistent here. Instead of receiving basic courtesy, you are met with strange, judgmental stares from the female receptionist, while the male receptionist—who acts more like a dictator than a manager—displays shocking arrogance. The mistreatment and inconvenience they cause do not feel accidental; they feel deliberate. It is baffling that such individuals are employed in the hospitality sector, and I sincerely urge the owner to terminate them both immediately.Furthermore, basic comfort and rest are impossible. The workforce is incredibly unprofessional, creating loud disturbances and noise well past 2:00 AM.This place operates with less courtesy than the most hideous, run-down accommodations imaginable. It is a pathetic excuse for a hotel. I strongly urge platforms like Google Maps and all booking sites to blacklist this property immediately to prevent further travelers from enduring such an appalling and unsafe experience.
