Udaigarh - Udaipur

I had a genuinely pleasant stay here. The rooms and towels were clean, and the staff was welcoming. The rooftop pool area is fantastic, especially for watching the sunsets. You can relax with an excellent cocktail or a cold beer on the terrace. Additionally, the food is delicious.

I recently stayed here and found the overall atmosphere to be very pleasant. The location is convenient, with Lal Ghat nearby, which is best visited after dinner when it's less crowded and more tranquil. The rooms were attractive, clean, and well kept. The bathrooms were also spotless, which I personally pay close attention to when staying anywhere. The lobby and shared spaces had a very stylish, Pinterest-worthy look, and the ambiance throughout the hotel was wonderful. One downside was that eating inside the rooms is not allowed, whether the food is from their own upstairs restaurant or brought from outside, which felt a bit inconvenient. Drinking and smoking are also prohibited on the premises. The pool area was nice but only open until early evening. Additionally, the café/restaurant service upstairs was very slow; we ordered just a coffee and waited about 40–50 minutes. So, I wouldn't highly recommend the food or service. Another point to consider is parking, which is quite a distance from the hotel, so if you have your own vehicle, it might be inconvenient. We had to take a rickshaw to the hotel, costing around ₹150–₹200 depending on the group size (we were five). Despite these issues, the views, aesthetics, and overall experience were truly enjoyable.

No parking available and the staff are the worst, charging extra even though the rooms are empty. The food quality is terrible now, so don't trust the old reviews as the quality has dropped significantly.

Really disappointing experience 😕
