Fairstay Resort Ooty

I stayed at this hotel on July 26 and booked executive rooms. There was no water, and the service was very poor. We had to keep calling housekeeping, but they didn't answer, so we called the hotel manager who said water would be available in half an hour. It took two hours to get water, and it was cold and very slow. Hot water was not available; we got it the next day but very slowly. When using the shower tap, no water came from the basin tap. When I complained to the MD, he just said sorry. I asked for a discount but they refused. The MD said he would take care of it on our next trip, but who would return to this hotel? The service was terrible. Be careful before booking any hotel in Ooty. My rating for this hotel is zero.

The room facilities are good and the room service is available 24 hours with hot water. I warmly recommend this resort and appreciate the helpful guidance from Shamer and Ramadass, the managers. Overall, a good experience.

The hotel is located quite a distance from the main Ooty market. However, it offers a tranquil environment, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The highlight is the food, especially the breakfast, which is delicious and flavorful. The staff are courteous and kind. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, making it a nice experience.

My stay at this hotel was awful because there was no electricity at all. The room had no lights, no power outlets to charge my devices, and no heating, which made it very uncomfortable and unusable. A hotel should at least provide these basic services, and not having power is unacceptable given the price. On top of that, the management handled the situation very poorly and was not helpful. I strongly suggest choosing another place where you can rely on basic utilities. I will not come back. Also, there was no wi-fi and the main switch was not working. Only basic needs were met, yet they charge prices like a 4-star hotel.
