When we arrived, the property seemed almost completely empty, and it appeared that we were the only guests staying there. By around 8:00 PM, my spouse and I decided that we were not comfortable staying and chose to check out and relocate to another hotel.One of the biggest issues was that Agoda showed the hotel as being about 1.5 km from Max Hospital, but this referred to Max Shalimar Bagh, whereas I needed to visit Max Saket. This mistake resulted in long commutes, multiple taxi rides, wasted time, and additional expenses.The surrounding locality also did not feel suitable for us. Personally, we did not feel comfortable from a safety perspective, which was one of the main reasons we decided to leave.I contacted Agoda customer support, not expecting a full refund, but hoping they would offer some compensation considering the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I was informed that since I had already checked in, no refund or compensation could be provided.My advice to anyone booking through online travel platforms is to verify the exact location yourself before confirming the reservation, especially if your destination has multiple branches, such as hospitals. Also, don’t rely solely on user ratings and reviews—compare information across multiple sources, check Google Maps, and, if possible, contact the hotel directly before booking.I wish I had done more research beforehand. It would have saved me time, money, and a lot of unnecessary stress.
