Terrible hospitality. A special mention to REENA SINGH, who worsened our experience. She caused us to travel an extra 30 minutes for their convenience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I recently traveled alone to Varanasi and stayed at Guleria Kothi, a heritage hotel that surpassed all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by its vintage charm, friendly service, and unbeatable location. Located right on the ghat and just a 5–7 minute walk from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the hotel is ideally situated for anyone wanting to dive into the spiritual core of Varanasi. Whether you want to stroll along the ghats, witness the captivating evening Ganga Aarti, visit the temple, or simply meditate quietly by the river, everything is easily accessible. As a solo female traveler, I also felt very safe and comfortable during my stay. Guleria Kothi is a restored old haveli turned boutique heritage hotel. Every part of it tells a story. The tranquil courtyards, meditation spaces, small temple, and snug library create a setting that encourages slowing down, reflection, and reconnecting with oneself. It perfectly combines timeless elegance with modern comforts. My room had a view of the sacred Ganges, and some of my best moments were spent watching the river flow while enjoying the complimentary authentic Benarasi high tea each evening. The peacefulness made it hard to leave. The food was another standout. From breakfast to afternoon snacks and dinner, every meal was carefully prepared and rich in authentic flavors. Whether it was the fluffy bhaturas or tasty kebabs, each dish showcased the city's rich culinary tradition. The service was just as impressive. Since the hotel is on the riverfront, the staff arranged a boat to pick me up when I arrived. Throughout my stay, they effortlessly organized everything I needed, from boats and knowledgeable guides for the evening Ganga Aarti to visits to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and exploring Varanasi's winding streets. Their attention to detail and sincere hospitality made traveling alone easy. Reflecting on my trip, I am very thankful I chose Guleria Kothi. It was more than just a hotel; it became part of my Varanasi experience. I would gladly recommend it to anyone planning a family vacation or solo trip to this remarkable city.
