Hotel with a positive experience.

Rooms were clean, staff were friendly, and the location was excellent.

Our train was delayed by about 19 hours, causing us to miss the first day of our reservation and only arrive at the hotel around 10 a.m. on the day we were supposed to leave. Because of this, we had to extend our stay. The hotel staff showed no sympathy or understanding for our situation and were very rude. Several major problems ruined our experience: 1. Billing Mistakes: We were overcharged by about 2,500 rupees. The bill included charges for non-vegetarian food we never ordered, as our whole family is strictly vegetarian. These charges were added without any apology. 2. Dirty Facilities and Unfriendly Service: On the second day, my brother asked for the washroom to be cleaned so he could shower. The staff rudely refused, saying it was almost 11 a.m. and we should just check out instead of showering. 3. Unfriendly Staff: This refusal was the last straw. When we confronted the staff, they denied any wrongdoing and said we should have already checked out, even though our check-out time was actually 1 p.m. If you are considering staying here, I strongly suggest you rethink your plans. Between the incorrect bills, dirty washrooms, refusal to provide basic services, and total lack of respect, this was the worst hotel experience we've ever had.

I stayed in a Deluxe Room on the 4th floor at Hotel Amritsar International, but my experience was disappointing. The room included a study desk but lacked windows, making it feel confined and poorly ventilated. The biggest issue was privacy—hotel staff entered our room while we were out, later saying it was because of a pipe leak. Regardless of the reason, entering a guest’s room without permission or proper notice is unacceptable. On our last day, the AC stopped working and the tap water turned black, which was very worrying. I did not try the food, so I can't comment on that. The hotel's location also seemed a bit run-down and less attractive than expected. Overall, the stay fell short of my expectations due to privacy concerns, maintenance issues, and room conditions. I hope management takes steps to improve the guest experience.
