OYO Riverview Guest House

I had an excellent stay at River View Guest House in Guwahati in June 2026. The location is tranquil, and the Brahmaputra River views are stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-kept, equipped with all the essentials for a pleasant visit. The staff was friendly, polite, and always willing to assist, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The property's ambiance is peaceful and relaxing, away from the city's noise but still easily reachable. Key attractions like Pan Bazar, Silk Bazar, Brahmaputra Heritage Park, cable rides, and the ferry to Umananda Temple are all within walking distance. There's a lovely new park right in front of the guest house where you can stroll along the riverbank. Manoj ji, the owner, is very kind and available whenever needed. If you want a comfortable stay with beautiful river views and sincere hospitality, I highly recommend River View Guest House. I look forward to returning. I stayed at this guest house, which was very nice and located directly across from the Paramputra River, providing a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. It’s affordable yet quiet and not too costly. The owner was very caring and communicative, leaving me with a positive impression. The food was well-prepared and lived up to my expectations. I would suggest it, with just a few small improvements to make it an even better place for a relaxing visit.

Great budget stay with spacious rooms. Opt for those with a view of the river. Located just across from the impressive Brahmaputra and close to lively cafes and eateries. Manoj ji offers outstanding hospitality. Pabitra serves simple yet tasty meals. Bathrooms are clean. What more could you ask for? If you don't need five-star luxury, this place outshines many hotels in the busy city center. Keep in mind, it's a homestay or guesthouse, so you'll enjoy the nostalgic feel, like visiting an uncle's house during school holidays. It's also safe for solo women travelers—I was one myself!
