The washbasin didn’t have hot water. If the faucet had better flow, it would have been ideal. Still manageable. 🛏️ Mattress: Nights were very cold ❄️, and the mattress felt damp. I accepted this only because it was late at night, I was traveling with my family, and had no real alternative. Presenting this as if I willingly accepted your solution is misleading; it was not a choice but the only option you offered. The replacement room was, in my experience, far below the standard of the balcony room I had originally booked, which is why I remained unhappy. What is truly shocking is that instead of admitting a genuine service failure, you chose to publicly make false accusations that harm a paying customer's reputation. This is not professionalism but an attempt to divert attention from your failure by attacking the guest rather than addressing the complaint. Hotels are judged not by whether problems happen—they can occur anywhere—but by how they respond. A hotel that publicly calls a guest an "extortionist" for requesting a refund after deciding to leave sends a message that any customer who complains might be personally attacked instead of treated fairly. I stand by every word of my review. I have no reason to seek a free stay. I paid for a room with working amenities, did not receive what was promised, asked to leave with a refund, and was refused. The alternative room at your sister property was not equivalent to the one I originally booked. It had stained sheets, broken tiles, a bad smell, and was clearly inferior to the balcony room I paid for, which caused my dissatisfaction. I never asked for a free stay; I expected either the room and amenities I paid for or a fair refund if they couldn't be provided. These are standard expectations at any hotel. Instead of recognizing my disappointment, your response keeps accusing me of "extortion," a serious claim made without proof that reflects poorly on your customer service approach. The hospitality was excellent, with Vardhan and the other staff taking great care of us. Overall, it's a wonderful place to return to.
