In order to clear the festive rush, Indian Railways has approved a number of additional festival special trains. These special IRCTC trains will run for destinations such as Tamil Nadu, Darbhanga, Yesvantpur, Patna, etc.

Major updates are as following:
1. South Western Railways operates additional festival trains to Tamil Nadu
To control the increased rush of passengers during the festive season, South Western Railways has decided to run two additional pairs of festival special trains from Mysuru connecting the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu.

2. Festival special superfast trains between Anand Vihar and Bhagalpur
Train number 04404/ 04403 Anand Vihar – Bhagalpur – Anand Vihar (Superfast) will run between Anand Vihar and Bhagalour to clear the extra rush during the festive season. These trains will also stop at Prayagraj, Mokama, Jamalpur, Sultanganj, etc.

3. Additional festival special train between Gandhidham & Tirunelveli
For the forthcoming Dussehra and Diwali festival, Western Railways has decided to run one more special train between Gandhidham and Tiruneveli from 26th October 2020 to 3rd December 2020.

Train No. 02577/02578 Darbhanga – Mysuru – Darbhanga weekly festival special trains will run between Darbhanga and Mysuru via MGR Chennai Central, Arakkonam, Katpadi and Jolarpettai.
