180 Mciver - A Heritage Villa - Coonoor

180 McIver is a charming property set in a lovely location. We appreciated the atmosphere and the overall experience. However, the service was lacking. The main problem was the absence of hot water for our bath, which was very inconvenient and negatively impacted our stay. The place is beautiful and has great potential, but the service must be significantly enhanced to live up to the property.

We enjoyed a late lunch featuring the Sun-dried Tomato Pesto pizza with a thin crust that was fantastic and tasty. Their homemade cheese was among the best I've ever had. Zubeir recommended the house mocktail of the day, which was perfect! Overall, it was a very satisfying experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

Consistently outstanding experience. I adore the atmosphere here. The cuisine, the service, everything is top-notch. The restrooms are impeccably clean, and there is plenty of parking available. Update: Returned after three years and delighted to find it remains just as excellent. Despite it being a busy time, we were seated promptly. The staff remained courteous, efficient, and very accommodating. We savored the potato fritters, fish fingers, steaks, and a delicious lasagne.

We spent 3 days at this beautiful and peaceful property celebrating my mom's 50th birthday, and our experience was truly wonderful! Mr. Shabeer and Mr. Phillips, along with the entire staff, made us feel very welcome. The on-site cafe offered tasty meals that we enjoyed one evening, and the complimentary breakfast each morning was excellent. Mr. Shabeer arranged local transportation for our daily sightseeing, and Mr. Phillips was always available to assist us with anything we needed. The location is tranquil yet convenient, offering lovely views. The interior furnishings and decor are all from the colonial period, making us feel like we had traveled back in time from the city. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Coonoor. Thank you for making our special occasion so memorable!

It was a lovely stay with wonderful staff and the restaurant is very good when it comes to their food. While the property is lovely with its beautiful gardens and the aura of the heritage villa however there needs to be some maintanence especially on the furniture and some of the interiors of the rooms.
