The hotel is getting renovated and there should have been communication that it is under renovation b4 booking..The access to the room, services, escalator was badly planned and does not reflect a Taj Hotel..Absolutely pathetic and should not be charging this rates under these conditions..Looks like the the hotel was strapped for money and th4 was selling rooms under current conditions..Sad and pathetic
Dear Management,I would like to share my recent experience during dinner at your hotel buffet.When I arrived for dinner, the indoor seating area was full. One of your staff members informed me that there was an outside live counter area with seating available and asked me to sit there. Accordingly, I went and took a seat outside. I placed my order and my meal was served, and I had just started eating.After a few minutes, another staff member approached me and asked whether I had reserved that seat. I replied that I had not been informed about any reservation and was directed to sit there by another staff member. He then stated that the seats were reserved and gestured with his hand, asking me to move elsewhere. When I said that I was already eating and it would be inconvenient to move with my food, he rudely responded that I could finish eating and then shift to another seat.I was very disappointed with the tone and behaviour of the staff member. Such rude and unprofessional conduct is not expected from a 5-star hotel. The situation was embarrassing and uncomfortable.I hope you will look into this matter and ensure better coordination and courteous behaviour from your staff in the future.Sincerely,

Solo Traveller • Feb 2026One of the oldest five star hotels in Pune, now part of Taj hotels. The rooms are nice, clean and well equipped but need upgrading as they feel quite dated. Simple things like soft-close toilet seats or USB ports for charging etc will make a lot of difference. The service is simply outstanding. The staff make you feel like a royalty, although the front desk staff needs some training on customer service. Good choice of food options with Indian/Maharashtrian, Chinese and continental. Breakfast is wonderful.
