Fort JadhavGADH - A GADH Heritage Hotel

It was an employer organized team outing. Management was quite poor. A few items were unilaterally cancelled without any prior information like audio tour. One of the guests enquired for a toilet at the outdoor lawns. Their staff Ganpati said it's at the other end of the ground. After reaching there it was locked. Then when we come back staff disappeared. And we are scrambling here and there for a mere toilet.For the outdoor activities sports equipment like football etc were provided only after repeated asking.Museum tour was decent (nothing to write home about), but nothing compared to other museums in the city. Better go to Kelkar museum if that's your focus.Then the high tea: tea, instant coffee, samosa, raw sandwich (mayonnaise and shredded carrot, it was kinda smelly).Buffet spread was nice but then the day package charges of more than 2100 for this with mismanagement did not seem worth it. Especially not worth spending your own money for a family outing. Children 6-12 years are charged half rate and younger ones are free of charge. The reception staff also told that this day package is the only option they offer, you can't opt for only lunch, or only museum.In the name of other activities there is pottery and painting of mini clay toy statues (we call them chitra and are sold on diwali). Noone was available to guide or teach these.You can witness door closing ceremony before sunset (its namesake only, gate is opened later) and temple arti.Its not really a fort built with military strategy, rather more like a mini fort. Height is not much so views also are not anything outstanding.We visited in late July so thankfully weather was good and there was greenery.There is nothing to do nearby. You must have own vehicle and drive away to explore sightseeing spots or other forts.

The museum tour was okay but nothing special, definitely not as good as other museums in the city; the Kelkar museum is a better choice if that’s your interest. The fort itself isn’t really built for military defense, more like a small fort with low height and unremarkable views. We visited in late July, so the weather was good and the area was green. There’s nothing nearby, so you need your own vehicle to explore other sights or forts.
