French Haveli

Authentic old wooden building, well restored and giving a taste of life in the maze of Old Ahmedabad. The staff were very obliging and cooked lovely breakfasts and dinners. We had a very early departure and they arranged a tuk tuk for us. All in all I would recommend.

Rs. 200 Visit charge.And they didn't even let us in without visit charge even though we just wanted to have coffee.

I had a wonderful stay at French Haveli in Ahmedabad. The place is beautifully restored with stunning wooden carvings and colorful stained-glass windows that give it a real heritage feel. The staff were warm and very helpful, making the stay feel homely and personal. It’s right in the heart of the old city, so exploring the lanes, markets, and temples was super easy. The only little challenge was reaching through the narrow streets, but once inside, it’s totally worth it. A truly unique and memorable experience’I’d rate it 9/10!

We hired the villa for a photoshoot and it was the worst experience that we have had. The owner is not cooperative at all. The staff is rude. Shallow and greedy. And will only think about themselves

I loved my stay so much that I came back a month later on a purposeful detour to a neighbouring state.This place is a well-known hidden gem. Hidden in the sense that the narrow streets and alleys leading to the property from the main road don’t allow vehicles (only the bikes of local residents) which creates a peaceful walk from Dhal Ni Pol, despite only a short walk from Manek Chowk. It is also easy to grab a tuk tuk or uber or train from Dhal Ni Pol to anywhere in the city.The place itself is pure tranquility, beautifully decorated and maintained, from quaint decor to vintage Haveli doors.The bedroom is spacious with the most comfortable bed! And the bathroom gives ample space to wash and change with a separate shower and toilet.The place is managed by two guys, Bansi and Dipak. Both are so helpful, flexible and friendly, they offered and made breakfast for me before my morning departure. Breakfast will leave you full and setup for the day and includes omelette, toast, paratha, fruit, juice, tea/coffee.If I find myself back in the area again, I would stay without a shadow of a doubt.Highly recommend!
