- Got to this hotel in Brookefield. Brilliant proximity to various tech parks in Whitefield/Brookfield area- I requested the front desk for a room on a higher floor, they said yes they can it would be a twin bed room. I agreed but the front desk checked and found a double bed room available and assigned to me. Great Job 👍 - As soon as I opened the door there was a rush of cigarette smoke smell from inside the room to outside. This was highly suffocating and I had to immediately open the balcony and turn on the fan at highest speed to blow this air out. Almost 1 hour I had to keep the same. After I returned from office next day, found the same and repeated the same routine.- I noted WiFi connected to TV but TV not picking up the internet. I tethered my Hotspot eventually to the TV.- Open Storage Cupboards without cupboard shutters/doors - Multiple hygiene issues as well but not going into that much detail as the staff promptly assisted with the complaints and were extremely nice to handle. - Dining prices are reasonable. - Balcony area for fresh air. No seating.Hotel Management is required to do some modifications over the exhaust system in hotel. I figured out (and discussed with hotel staff) that the smoke from one room exhausts in other rooms because of common exhaust system. So even if someone locks thier room and goes outside, the smoke rebuilds in the room. There must be complete ban on smoking inside the rooms. To closely monitor the same smoke sensors need to be installed in the rooms. Housekeeping could do repeated checks if the smoke builds up and report the same to front desk or management. With all the above concerns the hotel stay cost of around 9500+ for two nights becomes unreasonable and impacts the value for money aspect of the experience. People get attracted with the 'Sarovar Portico' affiliation but Sarovar Portico must also look for impact to thier reputation because of such concerns.
No smart Tv but has good parking
Friendly staff. Breakfast area is clean. Housekeeping does a great job. Strongly recommend.
