Hotel Ramtel Inn

Three days ago, while travelling, I happened to stop at Haris Restaurant in Madurai, and I must say I was fully satisfied with the experience.The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing ’ a perfect spot to take a break in between a long journey. The ambience was neat and welcoming, making us feel comfortable immediately. The quality of the food was excellent, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious.The service was prompt and efficient, which is truly appreciated when you are travelling and tired. The toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. I was also happy to see a play area for children and small shops around, which makes it a convenient and family-friendly stop.Overall, it is a wonderful place to relax, refresh, and enjoy tasty food during travel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through Madurai.

Staff can be rude, at least not easy to deal with even for genuine concerns/requests.I booked a family suite for 3+1 guests. Had selected the exact guest count during the booking and paid accordingly. But the restaurant denied breakfast for the child saying that it is not included. I even offered to pay additional money (We were there after a long road trip and an early morning darshan and thus wanted to avoid having to go out and search for another restaurant ) but they refused that too and rudely. Basically a regular temple town hotel who knows people visiting have no other way but stay irrespective of the attitude/service. The property is located on the curb of a very busy junction. Dropping off and picking up is a challenge and can be frustrating too, especially if you have luggage. Vehicle parking is not available at the property but is at another place (walk-able distance, but crowded street).Edit (Based on the response from the property): Attached booking confirmation screenshot that clearly shows the guest count. Also, I volunteered to pay extra at the restaurant but still denied my request rudely saying they only stock exact amount of food that is needed (I asked bf for 4 year old!). Also the conversation regarding additional people being payable mentioned in the response, no that never happened.

Rooms are basic. Stayed there for 2 nights, it’s a basic lodge. Bed spreads had stains, same with towels. Its located at central city junction from where one can get Autos 24 hours. Room doesnt have ceiling fan but wall mounted fan!! Breakfast is set menu which was fine. Amenity kit was given. So in all- not well maintained rooms.

Very Poor Experience with Reception and Restaurant Team at RAMTELINNWe had a very disappointing experience at RAMTELINN, especially with the receptionist and the restaurant staff.We booked two rooms ’ one family suite (with one king bed and two single beds for 3 adults and 3 kids) and one standard room (with one king bed for 2 adults). The rooms were very clean, neat, and well-maintained, and the overall quality of the facilities was good. No complaints there.However, the real issue began at breakfast the next morning. We arrived late at night (around 1 AM), and the next day, when we went for the complimentary breakfast, the restaurant staff refused to serve food for all 6 people, insisting that breakfast was included only for 5 guests.We also had a driver with us, and we were ready to pay for his breakfast. We explained everything clearly, yet the staff was uncooperative and refused to listen. I requested them to check with the receptionist, but no one responded. Eventually, I lost my patience due to the lack of professionalism and miscommunication from their side.After a heated exchange, they finally checked our booking details (which clearly mentioned the number of guests), and even then, there were more arguments. Ultimately, I paid only for the driver’s food, and we left the hotel with a very bitter experience.Such mismanagement and poor customer service can completely ruin the guest experience ’ especially early in the morning, which set a negative tone for the rest of our [email protected], please review your partnership with hotels like RAMTELINN.
