Review for Oxford Golf Club Resort, PuneOur recent stay at Oxford Golf Club Resort, Pune was extremely disappointing and poorly managed, especially considering that we had travelled from Mumbai to celebrate an anniversary and one of the guests (myself) is eight months pregnant.Arrival ExperienceAt the time of arrival, due to a wedding event and a baraat taking place at the main entry, we were asked to park our car and walk approximately 100’200 meters with our luggage to the reception. Shockingly, this instruction did not come from any hotel staff but from the wedding event managers. There was no hotel representative present to manage guest entry or assist us.Despite repeatedly informing them that I am pregnant and unable to walk such a distance with luggage, we were not allowed to pass initially. Only after losing our calm were we finally permitted to drive up. This was a stressful and unsafe start to our stay.Management ResponseWe raised this issue with the Front Desk Manager, Shobik. Unfortunately, his response was dismissive’simply stating that ’this will not happen next time,’ without acknowledging the seriousness of the situation or showing any empathy.When I requested to speak to someone senior, Shobik informed us that due to the wedding-related chaos, he would arrange a callback within a few hours. No such callback was received throughout the day, despite multiple follow-ups.Room Arrangements & Service LapsesWe had booked three rooms, with a confirmed request for minor anniversary decorations in two rooms. Despite prior assurance:’No decorations were done’We were repeatedly told it would be completed in the evening’Even after returning from a walk, nothing was done’Multiple follow-ups resulted only in false assurancesAdditionally, we requested basic drinking water in the room. Despite calling at least three times, water did not arrive even after a gap of over 30 minutes.Amenities Not AvailableAmenities such as badminton, squash, and pickleball, which are promoted as part of the property, were not available due to wedding events occupying those areas. At no point during booking or prior communication were we informed that multiple weddings were scheduled or that guest amenities would be restricted.Refund HandlingWhen the situation was escalated to the Assistant Manager, Gaurav Sonamne, we were initially met with resistance. Only after firmly insisting were we told that a refund was possible’but only if we vacated the rooms by 8:00 PM the same evening.This was completely unreasonable considering:’We had travelled from Mumbai’It was late evening’One of the guests was eight months pregnantOffering a refund under such impractical conditions felt more procedural than genuinely supportive.Overall ExperienceThroughout the day, it was evident that wedding events were given priority over in-house guests, despite full tariff charges being applied. There was:’No prior disclosure of ongoing events’No accountability for service failures’No availability of senior management’No sensitivity toward guest safety or comfortThis stay fell far below the standards expected of a resort of this category. Future guests should be clearly informed if large-scale events are scheduled, as they significantly affect access, amenities, and overall experience.What was meant to be a celebratory and relaxing stay turned into a stressful and exhausting experience.’ Rating: 1/5

Do NOT book this property if you are looking for peace, comfort, or even basic hospitality. This place is nothing but an overpriced, poorly managed, worn-out SERVICE APARTMENT masquerading as a hotel, and its only real business is hosting weddings.We paid an exorbitant price, and in return got constant noise, chaos, delays, and pathetic service throughout the day. The entire property operates like a wedding venue first and a guest accommodation last.The so-called amenities are a complete scam. The amenities area is routinely taken over for weddings and parties (pictures attached), which means TT tables, badminton courts, children’s play area’everything’is blocked and unavailable. In reality, there are NO amenities for guests at all.Staff behavior is equally disappointing. They just loiter around with no accountability, no ownership, and no urgency. Every single request involves long waiting times, follow-ups, and frustration.Transportation within the property is another joke. The amenities are far away, and there is ONLY ONE CAB for all guests, with waiting times of 20’25 minutes or more. Completely unacceptable for a property charging premium rates.The management deserves special mention’in the worst possible way. The GM Mr. Sunny Dahiya and reservation manager Mr. Shovik were unapologetic, indifferent, and utterly helpless. It was obvious that their sole focus is weddings, not hotel guests. With 2’3 weddings happening simultaneously, guest experience is clearly irrelevant to them.Bottom line:This is NOT a place to relax or unwind. It is a glorified, overpriced dharamshala/service apartment, old, badly maintained, and shockingly mismanaged. If you value your money, time, and mental peace’STAY AWAY.

Food was good, breakfast food was average, staff was helpful and Cooperative. Locational is exceptional but construction activity is going around which will continue for next 2-3 years. The resort is well made.

The rates for one night stay are not worth if you are not golfer. Very limited view for residences. It is just one time visit to explore a new place but as per my experience, one night stay shouldn’t be more than 6k. It has a separate play for badminton, squash etc but you need to get your own stuff to play there.
