The Bowers Chalet

The room's condition and upkeep did not match the photos. The bathroom lock was faulty. We encountered cleanliness problems with the food served, and the staff acted unprofessionally. We ended up checking out just 3 hours after arrival.

Enjoyed a fantastic stay in Ooty! The setting was tranquil with stunning mountain scenery, ideal for unwinding. The rooms were tidy, cozy, and well-kept. The staff were warm, hospitable, and eager to assist. Starting the day with the fresh climate and beautiful views made it even more memorable. Strongly suggest this spot for those seeking a calm retreat in Ooty. Would love to return for sure!

I recently stayed at THE BOWERS CHALET and had a mixed experience. The food was average, and the caretakers were very kind and helpful. Many staff seemed new but were polite and did their best to assist. The location offers nice views, and the rooms are nicely decorated, making it a good choice for bachelors or friends traveling together. However, we encountered some problems like no hot water and a TV that didn't work because it wasn't recharged. We reported this right after check-in, but it remained unresolved throughout our stay. While the staff were responsive, the management needs to be more accountable and address such basic issues promptly. With improved maintenance and management, this place could offer a much better experience.

The location and view are nice, but the service and food are terrible.

This staycation created great memories for us. We were a group of 7 bachelors, and the room and service were satisfactory. Each room had its own service staff, which was a nice touch. The view outside the room was beautiful, and I've already shared photos. The package rate, which included the room and breakfast, was reasonable—not too expensive or too cheap. We arrived by car with 5 bachelors and 2 bikes with solo riders. The solo riders had difficulty finding the place because you really need to use Google Maps every kilometer near the stay. It's located inside with no landmarks, so Google Maps is essential. The only downside was the campfire. It wasn't set up properly; usually, a campfire has a brick circle and more wood, but here there was no brick circle or pit, just a few logs (I uploaded a photo of the campfire). It cost 700, which wasn't worth it, so we negotiated. Other than that, the room, service, and food were good.
