WARNING ’ SCAM INVOLVING THE PREPAID TAXI BOOTH AT DELHI AIRPORTWe paid for a ride at the official prepaid taxi booth at Delhi Airport, expecting to be taken directly to our booked hotel. Instead, the driver told us:’’The road is closed’’’There are protests in Delhi’’’All hotels are shut down or fully booked’He pulled over and pretended to call our hotel to ’confirm the situation.’ We now know he wasn’t speaking to any hotel at all ’ the call was staged, likely with an accomplice.Then, he took us to two fake ’government tourist offices,’ where we were told we needed their help because ’everything in Delhi was paralyzed.’They tried to sell us overpriced tour packages, hotels, and transport options with printed fake itineraries.When we firmly refused everything, only then did the driver reluctantly agree to take us to our originally booked hotel ’ which, of course, had been open and available the entire time.Being tired after a long flight, with no internet and feeling cornered, we agreed to stay at the hotel they ’helped’ us book ’ just to get some rest.Once we arrived at the hotel (called RelaxInn), they told us there was no Wi-Fi. When we asked again at reception, they said the hotel does not offer internet at all.Only the next day, after we bought a local SIM card and looked up the hotel on Booking.com, Wi-Fi ’magically’ became available, and they provided the password.We also discovered that the hotel name on Google Maps was different from the one on their business card, making it harder to verify anything.When we confronted the staff, they denied everything and acted helpful ’ but it was obvious they were part of the scam operation.This was not a misunderstanding ’ it was a well-coordinated scam targeting foreign tourists, involving drivers, hotel staff, and fake ’tourism offices.’We have officially reported this incident to:’The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi’The Police in DelhiBE CAREFUL ’ even official prepaid taxis from the airport may be involved in this scam.Do not let anyone reroute you. Insist on going directly to the hotel you originally booked.If you feel threatened or trapped ’ CALL 112.It works in India as an emergency number.

The hotel service was excellent ’ the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious with a variety of options. Thank you for making my trip so pleasant. Highly recommended!"

Scam Hotel, works together with taxi drivers from the airport which bring you there and pretend that the Hotel you originally booked is closed. No wifi in the Hotel, so you feel helpless. At least non of my things where stolen. So just expensive. Beware of that hotel and use Uber.

Scam hotel - do not book here. This is the hotel that we were taken to after the taxi driver told us that the roads to our original hotel were blocked so we couldn’t get to it. We met others at the hotel that this happened to too. No roads were blocked - just lies to take us to this hotel where we had to pay again. On other reviews the management have said that they didn’t know it was a scam - but surely if they are taking money time after time from tourists who are arriving by taxi saying that the roads are blocked to their original hotel they now know it is a scam and are part of it. Police aware. Very noisy and dirty hotel too nothing like the photos
