Coronavirus Outbreak: Several China-bound flights cancelled

Air India and IndiGo, the only two Indian carriers that fly to China have announced the temporary suspension of their flight services due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.

IndiGo has decided to suspend its flights on the Bengaluru-Hong Kong route from 1st February and on the Delhi-Chengdu route from 1st to 20th February. However, it will continue to operate the Kolkata-Guangzhou flights as of now.

Note: IndiGo will be refunding the full fare to the passengers who have been impacted by the same.

Similarly, Air India is suspending its flights on the Delhi-Shanghai route from 31st January to 14th February.

Identified by scientists as 2019-nCoV, is a coronavirus, a family of viruses which include the common cold and more serious diseases such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
