HOTEL CRESENT VILLA

It was the most pathetic experience. It is the worst hotel available. The only good thing about the hotel is its location and nothing else. For two straight days, we gave the room key for room cleaning, and guess what, they didn’t clean the room. The room was dirty and had a weird smell. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. They had mentioned they had parking, but guess what, they didn’t have parking. Money and mood both was wasted.

Great Rooms! Great experience! Came with a family of 12 people. Location is also near to main market. 5 mins to major ghats. Only one thing which felt like a tourist trap was getting a package which costed us 1000/- per person in which they gave as 2 cars but those were pretty useless as cars are not allowed in mostly areas. Drivers asking us to come at the parking which were 3 4kms away from location they dropped us. It was much easier and cheaper to get autos and e-rickshaws. Hotel is nice for stay but not the package they sold us which costed 12000/- for just 1.5day.

I recently stayed at Hotel Cresent Palace, Varanasi with my family after booking through Goibibo, and the experience was disappointing despite the hotel being in a good location.What went wrong:Overpriced stay and food: Both the room and the food felt heavily overpriced for the quality offered.Unprepared staff: The hotel staff was not even aware of my booking when I arrived, which caused unnecessary delay during check-in.Room condition: The room had a stale smell, likely because it had been locked for a long time before our arrival.Restaurant quality: The in-house restaurant turned out to be an old samosa canteen, which was far from what one would expect from a hotel.Food quality: The food served was just average’not worth the high prices.Serious hygiene issue: Ice cream was served with broken glass pieces, which is extremely unsafe and unacceptable.Odd facility choice: Surprisingly, the washroom had a ceiling fan’something I’ve never seen in any hotel.Overall:While the location is good, my overall experience was not pleasant. The hotel needs significant improvement in management, cleanliness, food quality, and safety standards before I can recommend it.

I am very satisfied with the hotel service. The staff responded quickly to all requests and ensured a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was efficient, and customer service was attentive throughout my visit. Highly recommended.

I recently visited Varanasi for a darshan to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and stayed at Crescent Villa for one night. While the hotel itself is decent and well-maintained, my overall experience was marred by overpriced services and, more importantly, a lack of professional integrity and poor management.The Stay and "Temple Assistance"The hotel is comfortable, but definitely overpriced for what it offers. Upon check-in, we asked the staff about temple timings and darshan procedures. They immediately offered a "service" for ’1500 per person, promising to "take care of everything." Thankfully, my brother insisted we manage on our own. We went at night and had a wonderful, smooth darshan without paying a middleman.A warning to travelers: Do not fall for these promises. Manage the darshan yourselves; it is entirely doable.The Parking NightmareThe next morning, my experience turned sour. When I was ready to check out, I found my car completely blocked by another vehicle. The owner was nowhere to be found. This was a clear failure of the hotel staff, who should be managing the parking layout to ensure guests aren't trapped. I was forced to wait for over an hour unnecessarily. this was extremely frustrating.A Disappointing RevelationWhile waiting, I met a family of three who were visibly distressed. I spoke with Mrs. Maya Bajpai, a highly respected professional (Admin and Operations Head), who shared their harrowing experience with me.With her permission, I am sharing their story: The hotel staff convinced her family to pay ’2500 per person for a "special darshan view." However, once the money was paid, the management provided zero assistance and essentially fooled them. When the family confronted the staff about the broken commitment, the management had no answers.Meeting Mrs. Bajpai was the only silver lining of that hour’she is a "gem of a person" who has traveled all over India for pilgrimages, yet she noted that she has never felt as cheated as she did here. It’s not just about the money; it’s about the breach of trust and the lack of commitment.Final VerdictThe Good: Clean rooms, proximity to the temple.The Bad: Overpriced; terrible parking management that cost me an hour of my life.The Ugly: Unethical "darshan packages" that seem designed to exploit devotees.My Advice: If you stay here, enjoy the room but do not trust any promises made by the staff regarding temple visits. I hope this review helps other travelers avoid being misled.
