Looking at the google reviews and rating, I felt it would be good, but it was okay.
Check-In Experience:• Upon arrival, the reception claimed they had no booking from Agoda. Only after I showed them my booking confirmation email did they acknowledge the reservation.• They could not confirm the booking amount on their own and asked me to tell them the amount shown in my email. After I told them it was INR 2682, they accepted it without verifying independently.• They insisted on cash payment, which is unusual given the widespread use of digital payments. When I said I didn’t have cash, they processed the payment digitally, but under a different hotel name: Smart Lay Hotel Privat, New Delhi, which I wasn’t informed about.• After my stay and checkout, I received an email saying my booking had been cancelled. This was highly suspicious since I had completed the stay and paid for it.Room & Facilities:• The room was not properly cleaned, and the bathroom required repairs.• No complimentary water bottle was provided. I had to call 3–4 times with no response, and eventually had to go in person to collect it.• There was no proper acknowledgement or receipt given at checkout.Staff:• The reception staff were unprofessional and unhelpful, displaying a lack of training and hospitality.• On a positive note, the security staff were courteous and helpful, which was the only pleasant aspect of the service.
