Solo Traveller • Jul 2026I had to make a last-minute trip to Jamia Millia Islamia and picked this hotel because it was near the university and I wasn't familiar with Delhi. My flight landed around 2:00 AM, and I needed to be at the university by 9:00 AM for an interview. After calling many hotels with no rooms available, this one said they had a room. I called reception, confirmed a room was free, and was told the cost would be ₹1,000 for a stay from about 3:00 AM to 8:00 AM. When I arrived by cab from the airport, the receptionist refused to show us the room and demanded payment and ID first. At 3:00 AM with no other options, we had to stay. After arguing, he showed us a room, saying it was the only one left. The room was terrible: dirty floor, strong cigarette smell, cigarette butts on the floor and in the bathroom, used bedsheets and blankets with blood stains. It was clear the room hadn't been cleaned for new guests. The price was also dishonest. Though I was promised ₹1,000 on the phone, the receptionist suddenly asked for ₹2,000 when we arrived. Knowing we came late at night and had an important interview, he tried to take advantage. After 15 minutes of arguing, he accepted ₹1,300. The problems continued: the room key was missing, and we were told if we left the room it had to stay unlocked, which is a serious security issue. No drinking water was provided or available when requested. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Misleading prices, unhygienic rooms, poor security, no basic amenities, and unprofessional staff made it awful. I can't recommend this hotel. If you arrive late or are new to Delhi, avoid this place and find a more reliable hotel.
