Had a wonderful stay at SB Residency; the rooms were clean and the staff was very polite and supportive, helping me a lot. The room service was excellent, and overall it was an awesome experience. The reception desk staff were also very good.

We planned a long weekend trip to Amritsar and stayed two nights at SB Residency Amritsar. It was a fairly good experience. Although the hotel's location is great, being close to the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, it's important to note that it can only be reached by e-rickshaw or on foot since it's in the middle of a busy market on a very narrow lane. This means there is no parking available for your vehicle if you drive to Amritsar like we did. Finding a decent parking spot is a huge challenge because the lanes are narrow and parking your vehicle risks it getting scratched or dented by scooters or rickshaws. We used paid parking near Harmandir Sahib temple and Jallianwala Bagh extensively during our 3-day stay. Once you manage the parking and reach the hotel, you find there is no elevator, which is a real problem if you have elderly people and your room is on the 3rd floor. Apart from these two main issues, the rooms were comfortable and the stay was pleasant. The services were decent, rooms clean and well maintained, and public areas tidy. The staff were friendly and professional from check-in to check-out, with reception providing helpful directions. Guests with mobility challenges should avoid this hotel for the reasons mentioned. Overall, SB Residency offers good value for short stays in Amritsar, with a convenient location, reliable cleanliness, and courteous staff, suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers.
