Even though we have to carry our luggage in the stairs to reach the hotel reception, it is a good location for staying overnight.

I have stayed here a couple of times. The first time, the receptionist forgot to give me a wake-up call even after I reminded him before going to sleep because I had an early flight. His response was, "Sir, you already woke up and now I forgot to give a wake-up call, so what do you want me to do now?" It was the worst answer early in the morning. Recently, I had the worst experience and will never return to this hotel. I landed in Chennai early morning at 3 am and reached the hotel at 5 am. The front desk person was terrible, with an unwelcoming attitude and inappropriate language. I had some questions about my payment. I booked the stay via WhatsApp while in the USA and received a confirmation message. I booked for two people, but the person who was supposed to receive me had an emergency, so I asked to cancel and rebook with the same money. While explaining this, the staff was unwilling to respond and made annoying gestures. They gave me the same deluxe room, but the A/C was not working, the toilet was very dirty, towels smelled bad, and the bed was awful. I called reception to complain, and they sent someone who was useless. Instead of solving the problem, he blamed the property. The room was very hot, and even with the A/C set to 16⁰, there was no coolness. I complained again, and he said he would change the room, but it was already noon. For this uncomfortable stay, I paid 8600 INR. I returned to reception, said I was checking out, and asked for a refund because for that price, I could stay at Oberoi Trident Chennai, which is much closer. The only reason I stayed here was thinking it would be value for money, but it was not worth it at all. The ambiance was terrible, full of rude staff, especially a person named Subash, who was useless. I don't understand why they hire people who don't know how to talk properly. The replacement staff was also very annoying. In conclusion, my personal opinion to friends and the public: please do not waste your money staying at this hotel. Book a hotel closer or any other property. Never book Nestlay Treebo Stays. It is really a waste of money.
