If you have stayed at other Taj properties, you will be easily tempted to notice the minor or sometimes major deficiencies.For instance: instead of receiving toiletteries and lotions from Forest essentials you get some lesser know brand, it doesn't feel or look luxurious. Moreover, they felt the need to bolt the shampoo and soap to the wall. Even if you were to accept that, the soap dispenser doesn't do a good job of dispensing the soap. You will have to pump it rigorous to get may be a few ml of soap.The chair in our room was wobbly some furniture pieces also looked a bit tired.We went for lunch at the famous Tattoria and suprisingly our table was wobbly.If thats not enough the staff was finding it incredibly difficult to service the breakfast crowd. Making you uncomfortably annoyed for constantly asking for silverware, water, your coffee order etc.If you have been to the Taj Palace or Taj tower etc, you may find this a disappointment. Choose your stay wisely.

It's Konkan Cafe in President Hotel, Mumbai. The food is good here. They have thali system and ala carte too. I tried sambhar rice, which were delicious. The Rasam served with thali was also excellent. Overall it was a good experience ’?.

Very good Hotel and Excellent Location. My husband and I stayed in January 2026 for two nights (prior to an Indian friend wedding). Check in was great, we arrived around 2am, they offered an upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable price for the 2 nights which we accepted. The suite was great, lots of space, two bathrooms. We had booked through this platform that gave us free the transport from airport to hotel (it worked excellent) with travelodesk, our plane was delayed and the driver was super patient and waited for us. Ameya, from the reception was excellent, he help us book our day tour of Mumbai with a local license guide which was great (Tour is pay directly to guide in the morning) and taxi miles/services charged to the hotel. There was a bit of confusion with the prices of the tour, I recommend asking the hotel for the guide phone number and reaching directly to ask for prices etc. Breakfast buffet was included in our stay, it was good, the service was ok but way to busy at peak times you had to wait long to get a coffee served (this could be improved). Also, after the wedding (we stayed at President Monday and Tuesday, Wedding was Wednesday to Saturday) I contacted Ameya and tried to leave our luggage during the day at the President hotel so we could do tourism that last day Saturday in Mumbai before going to airport without our luggage, he provided me with the hotel Duty Manager number which was not responsive and ignore us. We even mention we could pay if needed to store our luggage...

Our stay was extremely comfortable. A heartfelt thank you to the lady who kindly upgraded our room to one with a beautiful view. Special thanks to Shantaram, who made sure we had everything we needed in the room. From the wonderful breakfast to the soothing flute player, every detail was thoughtful. The staff provided amazing service and truly made our experience and stay in Mumbai unforgettable.

Absolutely brilliant stay at the Taj President. Everything is perfect. The staff is warm and friendly. Our arrival and check in was promptly and efficiently handled by Ms. Neha at the front desk which set the tone for the remainder of the stay. All in all, we had a wonderful stay of four nights and five days.
