What a horrible service and hotel.Nothing works in the hotel. We started our journey 5:00 am and after 10 hours of journey couldn’t take shower. There was NO HOT WATER. Hotel was very much empty and management couldn’t arrange another room for shower. Don’t go by outer appearance , outside is grand. Rooms are in pathetic condition , rooms are poorly maintained. We selected this hotel by looking at the photos . Food is very expensive and definitely not worth eating at this hotel. Save your money and book your stay at some other hotel. Very poorly trained staff. Worst hotel I have ever stayed.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!Our stay at Shiv Vilas Resort in Jaipur was profoundly disappointing and nowhere near the luxury experience it advertises.At check-in, the staff took our passports (which we understand is customary in India for documentation) but insisted they would return them to our room after making copies. That is not an acceptable practice. We had to firmly insist on waiting while copies were made so we could immediately retrieve our passports. A property positioning itself as ’luxury’ should have a seamless, transparent, and secure process for handling guests’ identification. Given everything that followed, we are extremely glad we trusted our judgment and did not allow our passports to leave our sight.Now to the most basic expectation at any hotel ’ hot water. There was none. Let me repeat: NO HOT WATER. We were repeatedly told it would be fixed. We wasted three hours of our vacation time dealing with maintenance after a grueling day of being tourists in the heat. After all of that, there was still no hot water. On top of this, they made us feel pathetic for requesting hot water to be provided - fix the issue or give us a new room - sounds like a logical request that was not taken seriously. We even asked to simply be able to take a hot shower in another room, and that was not granted.The in-room safe malfunctioned ’ with our documents locked inside. That became yet another unnecessary ordeal.The shower water pressure is laughable.The foot pedal on the trash can doesn’t work.The room temperature is nearly impossible to regulate.The towels feel like sandpaper ’ if you’re seeking exfoliation, perhaps you’ll be pleased.There is only one electrical outlet in the room, and it’s inconveniently placed.The bed sheets have holes in them.We are three adults staying in one room and asked for a cot. The cot arrived with what appears to be blood strains. They couldn't find pillows for the cot and asked us to use what's in the room. They argued with us on this matter versus trying to accommodate pillows for the cot we had requested on booking (this was not a surprise request made at check in - meaning they were aware we'd need this extra bed and bedding).Perhaps most concerning was the dismissive attitude from management and staff when we raised these issues. We were made to feel unreasonable for expecting basic functionality at a resort charging premium rates.To be clear: this was not isolated to our room. We have family staying down the hall experiencing the same issues. Four senior citizens and two adults (3 adults in each room) are on this trip and no respect or care was provided for a service we paid for. We aren't doing anyone any favors here. We are a well traveled family and this tops the list of one of our worst travel experiences in our lives.The onsite restaurant was equally disappointing. Staff hovered excessively, repeatedly interrupting to ask what we needed, yet failing to actually deliver what was requested. The service felt chaotic and overstimulating. Luxury hotel, luxury restaurant, but instant coffee is being offered. Instant coffee. Being served instant coffee from a jar that looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in months.The property’s exterior photographs are misleading. Yes, the facade is beautiful. But the rooms are outdated and not maintained or clean (the layer of dust and the bathrooms are horrendous) ’ it feels like you are paying luxury prices for accommodations stuck in 1970.The issues are systemic and operational ’ not minor inconveniences that can be smoothed over with a polite email from management.The attentiveness during our stay was unacceptable - to be ridiculed by management and staff for asking for hot water at the prices we paid...

This is a great place to stay, very clean nicely decorated and has a palace like effect. Breakfast food was good and buffet was good, but the food we ordered for dinner like biryani and pizza was ok. Staff also needs some improvement. I did not like the most was the electric panel in the rooms. They don’t have typical light switches, they have a panel with all the attachments which was confusing. Overall this is great place for photography and spending a good time.

Very nice dancing at the dinner. Thank you.
