Air-India Express Overview
Air-India Express is a low-cost airline subsidiary of Air India. It flies mainly to the Middle East to offer passenger and cargo services. Air-India Express has its main base for operations at Cochin International Airport, with a hub at Trivandrum International Airport. The airline is a part of the National Aviation Company of India Limited, which was formed in 2007 to facilitate a seamless merger of Air India and Indian Airlines.
History
Air-India Express was incepted in May 2004. The first flight under this special service was run from Thiruvananthapuram to Abu Dhabi in the middle of 2005. The airline service has so far remained greatly profitable on most routes.

The airline has come a long way since and has plans for expansion into Europe and The Americas. Executive Class - 30 Kilos.

Infants are allowed 10kgs checked in baggage but are not entitled to a seat.
One checked or carried collapsible stroller or carry cot or bassinet or car seat for infant can be carried in the passenger cabin subject to availability of space.Child fare passengers are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adults.
