What is Indian Airline?
Indian Airlines Limited or Indian is India's state owned primarily domestic airline. While its counter part Air India operates all the international flights, Indian or Indian Airlines takes care of the domestic sector. Indian Airlines is based in New Delhi, India but also has bases in all the international airports in India mainly Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi.
Previously they were called Indian Airlines Corporation (IAC) and handled only domestic and regional routes. In December of 2005 the company was rebranded as Indian. Indian Airlines or Indian operates closely with Air India, India's national flag carrier. Alliance Air is a fully owned subsidiary of Indian.
Recently Indian Airlines was granted permission to merge with Air India and the resultant merger with 130+ aircrafts will be called Air India and operate both sectors accordingly.

Indian Airlines connects around 16 international and 64 domestic destinations around the world. Combined with Air India Express, which is a complete subsidiary, there is an access to the widest number of destinations for the traveler to choose from.

Cabin baggage
Only 1 piece of cabin baggage is currently allowed on all Indian Airlines flights. The sum of the length, width and height of the hand baggage should not exceed 115 cms. Due to current security regulations, liquids, gels, pastes or items of similar consistency are NOT allowed in the cabin baggage. However medicines and inhalers are allowed in the cabin baggage, only if they are accompanied by a doctor's prescription. Baby/Infant food is allowed. Also note that sharp items like, scissors and pocket knives and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the cabin baggage.
