Promoted by Vijay Mallya of UB Group, Kingfisher Airlines Limited was launched in May 2005. With its vision to provide value-based travel experience to domestic and international travellers, Kingfisher Airlines emphasizes on pampering customers with world-class services. They began domestic operations by leasing four Airbus 320 flights but have a strong fleet of their own today.

Flying in the good times, Kingfisher Airlines has flights available to all major domestic and international destinations. Marking its distinguished presence in the Indian airspace, they have aircrafts emblazoned with the instantly recognizable kingfisher bird in vivid red and white colors.


Kingfisher currently operates over 42 flights and connects an extensive network of over 37 destinations. The airline has established itself as a market leader in a short span of time, while setting new service benchmarks. With its headquarters in Bangalore and operations spread across all International airports in India, the Kingfisher fleet operates 218 flights a day.


Primary domestic destinations for Kingfisher include Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. Only in 2008 did the airline launch international flights to Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong, London and Singapore. Having recently acquired Air Deccan, a low cost Indian airline, the company has integrated Air Deccan flights to the Kingfisher fleet to rebrand their low cost aircrafts as Kingfisher Red. Kingfisher Airlines presently extends tickets at reasonable rates to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Goa, Chennai and other key cities, making travel affordable on most domestic routes.
