Kingfisher Red Airlines (Book now)

Kingfisher Red Airlines, still flying with the good times, is the low cost arm of the Kingfisher Airlines group. Kingfisher Red Airlines were previously known as Simplifly Deccan and this is the second rebranding that has occurred to them. Prior to Simplifly Deccan, Kingfisher Red Airlines were known as Air Deccan.

Their initial release of the airlines was with the bold statement, "Welcome to a new class of low fare flying, where smiles get warmer, seats get more comfortable, rewards get bigger, and service gets a whole lot better."

Kingfisher Airlines, under Dr.Vijay Mallya of the United Breweries group, acquired a majority stake in Deccan Aviation last year. Deccan Aviation is the holding company of Air Deccan. Kingfisher Airlines also merged operations with the low cost carrier. They have since then repositioned, restructured and have splashed their carriers red.

Kingfisher Red Airlines is based in Bangalore and was initially the first low cost carrier in India. They are also India's second largest airlines network which become operational in August 2003. The main base of operations for this airline is at HAL Bangalore International Airport along with a secondary hub at the Chennai International Airport, both of them located primarily in the southern part of India.

Kingfisher Red Airlines covers around 64 destinations within India. Some of them are Srinagar, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Ranchi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, and Port Blair. Kingfisher Red Airlines operates approximately 337 flights everyday as well making them the second largest domestic carrier in India. The airlines logo is similar to that of the Kingfisher Airlines which is a Kingfisher bird depicting vibrancy and activity. The yellow and white colors of Deccan have been replaced with Red and White. A lot of the rebranding involved changing the interiors of Air Deccan's aircrafts which were upgraded to match the Kingfisher style.

Kingfisher Red Airlines have also announced that they would upgrade their services by starting an inflight meal service to passengers at nominal prices, which were previously unavailable when they were Air Deccan. Kingfisher Red Airlines passengers are also allowed the option to check in at Kingfisher's airport counters and use its AC buses to transit between the terminal and aircraft. Kingfisher Red airlines also have a common ticketing platform using Kingfisher's IT code.
