We had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms are spacious with fantastic views but they have not been finished properly. They are cold and drafty as the big glass window is not sealed. You can hire a heater for 300 per night which helps but takes a long time to heat the room. The restaurant serves good value veg food. The breakfast buffet was good - it included fruits, cereal, curd, toast and tasty South Indian specialities as well as tea. The evening meal buffet was mixed however. Good value but varied quality. Our first night was good but by day 4 the menu was repeated too much and the sloppy aloo mutter and cold custard pudding reminded me of uk school dinners - which is not a compliment. Some of the staff were very helpful and polite but some were uninterested looking cold and bored. Check out is quite early at 10am and we were disappointed to be told there was no bag storage facility for us to use for a few additional hours. I don’t think I’ve stayed in a hotel before that has not offered this service. The hotel has a lot of potential. If you prefer to stay in the hills near Mashobra, it is a gorgeous location and the views are great. However it requires some improvement to make it cosier and a more comfortable experience.

If you are looking for a peaceful stay , away from all the crowds in shimla, kufri, I would recommend you to go to bykes nature vilas in mashroba. Polite and helpful staff, the receptionist was very helpful and best place to visit during monsoons.
