The Ashoka Inn

This is a very nice hotel in Shimla. The rooms are comfortable, the service is outstanding, and the food tastes great. The hotel staff are very supportive and friendly. Mr. Sudesh Sharma, the hotel's director, is very kind and helpful. The hotel is located very near Mall Road. I stayed here for two days.

Overall, a very positive experience with excellent hospitality and behavior from the staff, wonderful views, affordable rates, and tasty breakfast.

My stay at Ashoka Inn in Shimla was fantastic. The owner stands out as one of the most sincere and helpful hosts I've encountered. Right from our arrival, he ensured we received the best room and personally managed everything to ensure our comfort. He even arranged for a staff member to guide us on our way, which was a kind and thoughtful touch demonstrating their excellent hospitality. The rooms are modest but clean, well-kept, and have all the necessary amenities for a comfortable visit. The best feature of this place is definitely the amazing view. If you get one of the wooden rooms, you’ll experience an incredible view that’s among the finest in the area. The hotel is near Mall Road, making it easy to explore Shimla. Although it requires a short walk that might be a bit tough for older guests, the tranquil setting and lovely environment make it worthwhile. Ultimately, the warm hospitality from the owner and the polite staff made this stay unforgettable. They truly go the extra mile to welcome guests. I would highly recommend Ashoka Inn to anyone visiting Shimla and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel is located only a 15-minute walk from Mall Road and provides excellent services. The rooms are somewhat average, but the staff is very cooperative and helpful. They also offer cab services. Definitely recommended.

This hotel is definitely not a 3-star property. It's very difficult to get to and from Mall Road, as no cab drivers are willing to pick up or drop off guests here. The rooms are in terrible shape, so don't trust the photos online—they show old furniture and poor conditions.
