Very prompt and good service, staff was friendly and cordial.Only thing we noticed that breakfast quantity being served were in great excess than required by guests, leading to waste. So better planning is needed to prevent same. Rest all good

I have stayed at this property twice while visiting Shimla, and I honestly regret giving this place a second chance. My first visit was great, which is why I trusted them again, but this recent stay was an absolute nightmare and one of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever had.The biggest issue was the receptionist named Shaveta. Her behaviour was shockingly rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel like we were not welcome there. Every time we passed through reception or asked for any assistance, she showed unnecessary attitude and spoke in a very disrespectful manner. Someone working in hospitality should know how to treat guests properly, but she clearly does not belong in customer service.Her behaviour became even worse on our last day. Instead of speaking to us politely, she called a security guard to force us to move our car from the parking area. The way she handled the situation was humiliating and extremely disrespectful. It honestly felt like we were being treated like troublemakers rather than paying guests.The problems didn’t stop there. The room cleanliness was absolutely disgusting. We were given a dirty room with other people’s hair on the bed and a filthy bathroom. This is basic hygiene and completely unacceptable for any hotel claiming to provide quality service. It clearly shows they do not care about cleanliness or guest comfort.Another major issue is how they mislead customers. Before booking, the staff acts extremely polite and friendly just to secure your booking. But the moment you check in, their entire attitude changes. It feels like they are only interested in your money and nothing else. They also try to cut corners wherever possible.The breakfast situation was another disappointment. They advertise buffet breakfast to attract customers, but in reality, there is no buffet at all. Instead, they give guests only 3’4 limited options, which is clearly a cheap cost-cutting trick and completely misleading.This place has seriously gone downhill. The management either does not care or has completely failed to maintain basic hospitality standards. Rude staff, dirty rooms, misleading services, and extremely poor customer treatment make this place not worth your money at all.There are far better hotels available in Shimla that actually respect their guests. I strongly advise people to avoid staying here unless they want to ruin their trip.

We stayed at Royal Retreat Hotel, Shimla for two days. While the rooms were very neat and clean and the bathrooms were well maintained, the overall experience was affected due to extremely poor service.On Day 1, we ordered food from the hotel, and it took more than three hours to be delivered, which was quite disappointing. On Day 2, we asked the staff to microwave a pastry, but even after more than an hour, it was not done. We also requested drinking water, and despite waiting over 15 minutes, we did not receive it.The staff was courteous and polite; however, the service efficiency and food delivery clearly need improvement.The view from our room was absolutely spectacular, which we truly appreciated. However, delays in basic services like food, water, and simple requests are unacceptable and need serious improvement. We recently stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. Based on our travels through India in recent years, the room was very good, clean and very comfortable beds so had great nights sleep. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent (we were half board) it was as good as anywhere we have eaten and better than most. The staff were all polite and attentive.Negatives: English channels very limited as no Smart TV's.The walk to the centre of Shimla is very steep (taxis are available at the hotel).The heating in the dining area wasn't on during one evening of our stay so it was cold in there, suggest layering clothing or eat in room if this is the case.Would we stay again? Definitely!Thank you for a lovely stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The view from the hotel is simply amazing. The staff members are friendly, helpful, and highly professional, making the stay even better.The breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options, and the dinner was outstanding’especially the Mushroom Do Pyaza, which was absolutely tasty! Overall, it’s a great value for money.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable stay.
