The Nilaya

I recently visited The Nilaya and have mixed feelings, but overall it was a pleasant experience. The standout feature is definitely the location, surrounded by stunning mountain views in a tranquil environment with a wonderful ambiance. It's an ideal spot if you want a quiet place to relax, chat, or just take in the scenery. On my first visit, we tried the Aglio e Olio Pasta and Cheese Chilli. Honestly, the pasta was not great, and even though we requested dry Cheese Chilli, it came with gravy, which was a bit disappointing. However, I liked the atmosphere so much that I returned later that week. This time, we ordered pizza and Chilli Garlic Noodles, both of which were much better. The pizza was really good, and the noodles were tasty. While the food might not be exceptional, it is decent and worth trying. Overall, I recommend The Nilaya for its beautiful views, peaceful vibe, and lovely ambiance. The food can be inconsistent, but the setting more than makes up for it. I would gladly visit again, especially for the location.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, comfort, and overall experience. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and offered beautiful views, while the staff especially Dharmender was always courteous, attentive, and ready to help.A special mention goes to our driver, Pranav, who made our visit even more memorable. He took us to the beautiful Jhakhu Temple and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the trip. His safe driving, punctuality, and helpful nature made sightseeing stress-free and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant experience.Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend this property and our experience with Pranav and look forward to visiting again.

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic, and we truly appreciated the hospitality, comfort, and overall atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, well-kept, and provided stunning views. The staff, especially Dharmender, were consistently polite, attentive, and eager to assist.

SCAM! Be cautious about NILAYA. (Photos attached) We reserved a Super deluxe room via Agoda with full payment, but they gave us a terrible room in the Attic (Top Terrace). Despite raising concerns, no one took any action to fix this. We booked based on their online photos but did not receive that room. The receptionist casually said this was their best room just to rent it out, which is unacceptable. Customers should not be deceived; we understand everything. I asked for the owner twice to address this deliberate issue, but the unprofessional staff ignored our concerns and offered no solution. I wasn’t asking for a refund, just some compensation or a meaningful resolution for peace of mind. But the staff member had the nerve to say, "Aap cancel kar dete." That was the last straw. The rude staff seem to come from a disrespectful background. I want everyone to know the truth. PLEASE NOTE: The room was in the Attic with very low headroom, forcing you to bend everywhere. Even showering was difficult due to the sloped roof. Water bottle caps had fungus/green algae. The sofa and carpet were extremely dirty. The window curtain was broken and just left hanging. There was an entertainment zone right outside, causing constant noise from other guests, so no peace despite booking for calmness. The rooms smelled bad. I strongly recommend booking "KOTI RESORT - Radisson Individuals" instead of this terrible place. Koti Resort is nearby, but I don’t understand why this so-called 'boutique hotel - Nilaya' lacks polite staff to handle issues. It seems neither the owner nor staff care about public reviews. Strange. Thanks, a victim of the 'Nilaya Scam'.
