  • Kausani Tea Estate

    For many, the day just won’t start until the strong aroma of Tea has filled their nostrils. No matter what the occasion, in India, tea is the quintessential drink in almost all the occasions. Ever wondered where these tea leaves are grown and processed? Here's your chance to experience it firsthand. The tea estate in Kausani is spread over 208 hectares and 21 divisions. The delicious high flavoured tea produced here is quite in demand overseas. You can avail the services of a guide who will take you through the estate and will introduce you to all the stages in manufacturing tea leaves.

    As you take stroll in this vast expanse of green and run your hands over the soft leaves and buds, the delicate aromas of unripened and ripening  tea leaves will tingle your nose.   • Gandhi Ashram (Anasakti Ashram)

    The humble austerity of the place will take off your mind from the stress of day to day chores and sufferings. Set amidst the scenic beauty of the surroundings and majestic views of the Himalayas, you can get a glimpse into the Gandhian way of life. This ashram became a place of interest, when in 1929 Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for 12 days and completed his work on Anasakti Yoga. This Ashram also houses a small museum dedicated to the life of Mahatma Gandhi where you can have a glimpse of his virtuous life through photographs and literature.

  • Lakshmi Ashram (Sarla Ashram)

    This ashram is also known as Kasturba Mahila Uthan Mandal. It is an educational institution set up by Sarla Devi who was previously known as Katherine Mary Heilemann. Sarla behn left London in 1930 to join Gandhian Movement and established this institution for the upliftment of girls in the Himalayan ranges. The Ashram runs a boarding school for the girls. Time to time, various workshops and activities are organized for the women and girls to enable them with skills like growing vegetables, cooking, sewing, knitting and making gloves, bags and prayer mats.

  • Sumitranandan Pant Gallery

    Dedicated to one of the most eminent hindi poet and writer, this places displays the manuscripts and drafts of the most notable works of Mr.Pant. The museum also has a collection of his day to day items being used, the letters he wrote and received and his prizes. The museum celebrates his birth anniversary every year on May 20 with a poetry symposium.
