The Hosteller Shimla, Valley View

Had a wonderful experience at Hosteller Valley View. Can reach mall road via a shortcut walk in 20 minutes. Very close to the kali bari as well. Perfect for those that like privacy and minimal contact with staff. AGM helps you find cab services for your day trips.Property is accessible by vehicles so you don’t have to drag your luggage up / down steep roads.We booked the Premium Attic Room with Mountain View. Would 10/10 recommend the same, view is beautiful. There are only 2 of these on the topmost floor of the property.They do not provide slippers and hand towel so carry that if that’s something you need.We stayed for 2 nights and this place was so peaceful and convenient.

The location is perfect just walkin distance from mall road, very polite staff, very nice atmosphase and rooms are spacious and well maintained. Just go for it.

Booked breakfast but available with 2 menus thats it, they should at least give 3 or 4 options as it has no buffet.No cermanic plates /plates and spoons present . They has use and throw plates thats it which is not good for family and old age.

Had a really comfortable stay here. The rooms were very clean, well maintained, and the property overall has a premium feel with all the basic amenities you would need. The location is beautiful and offers lovely scenic views.The food was also very good - hot, fresh, and decent overall. The kadhi rice in particular was excellent. I also liked that they have good meal options/portions, which helps avoid food wastage. The staff deserves a special mention as well. Everyone was extremely courteous, hospitable, and helpful throughout the stay. They also helped arrange taxis conveniently when needed.The only slight drawback is the location in relation to Mall Road. Since the property is situated on the opposite side from the lift side of Mall Road, reaching there via taxi can become slightly expensive due to the extra distance. The alternative is a 20’25 minute walk involving stairs and some uphill stretches, which can feel tiring after a point.Another small thing to note is that the cafe remains closed from 2 PM to 6 PM, while check-in time is 2 PM. So if early check-in isn’t available and you plan to freshen up before lunch, food options at the property may not be available during that window. However, Swiggy and Zomato deliveries work conveniently at the property.Overall, though, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it for the views, comfort, food, and hospitality.

Had a great stay here in Shimla! The property was clean, comfortable, and had a really peaceful vibe. The staff was polite and helpful, and the location/views made the experience even better
