I had a very disappointing experience at The Hosteller Shimla Valley View. I booked the property after seeing the reviews, but my actual experience was completely different.The breakfast was not a buffet. There were only 3–4 limited options, and each person could choose only one dish, along with just one tea or coffee. These restrictions were not clearly mentioned on the website and should have been disclosed before booking.I had booked a Double Deluxe Room with Mountain View, but the room was on a very low first-floor level with extremely poor privacy. People passing on the road could easily see inside. I requested a room change, but was told the property was full.The food was also disappointing. I ordered white sauce pasta for my daughter, but it had an excessive amount of chilli flakes and was not suitable for a child. The cold coffee was also poor.Almost everything was self-service and served in disposable cups/plates. For a stay costing around 6,500–7,000, I expected much better facilities and value for money.The staff was polite and helpful, which is the one positive thing I can mention. However, overall, the room, food, facilities and value for money were very disappointing. I would not recommend this property at this price point.

Wonderful and peaceful experience

The experience was excellent, with food quality rated 10/10. Service was punctual. Mr. Vishal, the chef, delivered top-quality food.
