Been trying to register ob the website but there is no " Registration" tab or any online form. Wasted an hour going through the website. How much does it take to add a simple tab called for tours: register here . Secondly the staff that answers the telephone is extremely rude. Upon complaining i was told that the care takers are receiving the phone calls. Why? When they do not know how to. When i asked webby phone calls are not received by the managers upon calling at the timing given I three website i was told that i have to keep trying all day and for several days. I said you should specify this on the website. .. that the staff is inefficient and unprofessional. Very pompous and high headed attitude. Can't say much about the museum as i never saw it. .. thanks to the staff i am hesitant to make further attempts at trying to book the tour.

Calico museum is a superb collection of textile also we can see unique collection. Also it is a huge collection of old things. We have to book in advance to visit this place because they permitonly few people to visit per day. Also it is in the way of airport.

Ahmedabad was the Manchester of india. If you are a tourist interested to experience wonderful gujarat's heritage you must visit this place.there is no spot entry but only booking in advance. you need to book in advance especially if you wish on Saturday and sunday. the people who work there and guide people are also very interested in fabrics and just like a good teacher does.strange to have guards but no reception, need to have your own guide who speaks the local language. i like everything about my visit. overall is well and good.

Ahmedabad was known as Manchester of India. Calico museum was created by the sarabhai family and is housed in the most magnificent house of the sarabhai family. The collection at the museum is very rare, it used to be open to people who arrived on time but of late they only take once batch of 20 in the morning to see the fabric part and one in afternoon. worth visit.

An impressive collection. A must for historians, artists and designers. There are two separate tours, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. Send an e-mail and get an appointment for your visit. Bags or luggages are not allowed.

Beautiful museum but awful treatment of visitors

The collection of this museum is outstanding but not well displayed, so you will be looking at things without knowing what they are. Our guide was not helpful and treated the visitors as prisoners under surveillance. Definitely a lot to work on the management of this place.
