Lovely - but not worth the drama
20 Aug 2015
The elephants are well cared for - there were no chains in sight and they live and sleep with their trainers (one trainer per elephant). The owner, Raul, however is entitled and rude. He will chat with you for about three seconds, asking if you're happy, but doesn't want to answer questions. We weren't asking tough ones! Just things like, why don't the elephants sleep together and why are there so few male elephants? He even threatened to cancel our appointment when we asked questions. The trainers - his staff - are lovely, so if you go then avoid interacting with Raul as much as is possible. If you want to avoid Raul's mood swings try another company - there's lots of great ones in the region!

The Best Day Ever
22 Jun 2014
This was one of the coolest experiences of my life, and for about 5000 rs a whole day of fun, food, and drinks. I was impressed with the hospitality, cleanliness, and excellence of Elephantastic and its crew. Here are some of the highlights for me: -Elephants are clean, healthy, and happy, treated with kindness and respect, and living with a personal handler. -We were given the opportunity to get to know our elephant first, feed it, and help it get used to us. -Not only were there refreshments the while time we were there, there was also a wonderful vegetarian Indian lunch. It was delicious and authentic. -Western toilet (with paper!) and a shower available
