Picture this, thick homemade butter (truckloads of it) sliding over sarson ka saag and makki ki roti. Is that your stomach grumbling? Well, the secret ingredient is the onion, garlic and ginger masala that makes Punjabi food so delectable.

Breakfast is the most important meal for the day. And, the Punjabis take that real seriously. The variety of stuffed paranthas - onion, paneer, aloo teamed with curd and mango pickle is one way of kick starting your day. The other could be a plateful of chole bhature or aloo puri beautifully garnished meticulously with finely chopped onion and a thick green chilly to go with it. Whichever way you wish to go, top it up with a glass of lassi (sweet/salty) and you’ll understand the Punjabi definition of a wholesome breakfast.

You must walk around a lot to make space for your next big meal - lunch! Dal makhani, a variety of paneer dishes, a tandoori line or recipes and rajma chawal, naan, kulchas amongst other things will welcome you at the table, In case you haven’t got your heart full of the paranthas, you could also choose to dig into that once again. P.S. Start walking again!

What’s dinner with butter chicken! Don’t think much just order butter chicken, kebabs/dal makhani, tandoori platter, pair with some naan or roti and then, indulge.
