Want to sink your teeth into succulent Mutton Kebabs or craving for the good old Butter Chicken? Udaipur is all set to please you with its options! With its assortment of non veg restaurants, this city has plenty on its platter to delight your palate. Make your way to one of the following restaurants for a hearty non vegetarian meal:

  • Lake Palace Restaurant

One of the most opulent places for dining in Udaipur, the Lake Palace Restaurant promises a dining experience fit for royalty. With courteous staff and an lakeview location complementing the yummy
Continental, Asian, Indian, Contemporary Western and Italian cuisines, the Lake Palace Restaurant makes for a mesmerising dining experience. Prior reservation is a must.
Meal for two is upwards of INR 8000.

Address: The Taj Lake Palace Hotel
    Lake Pichola
    Telephone: +91-294-2428800

  • Ambrai

Famous for its waterfront location and the brilliant views, Ambrai combines and serves Indian and local cuisines to its guests. Retaining an old world charm with its sprawling gardens and wrought iron furniture, the place is ideal for long romantic dinners, away from the maddening crowds and in a surreal world. Do try the
Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Sizzlers when here and do save some space for the crunchy cookies the place serves.
It is a good idea to make a
prior reservation here as the place is packed most of the times. Meal for two will cost you INR 1200.

    Address: Hanuman Ghat
    Telephone: +91-294-2431085

  • Jaiwana Haveli Roof Top Restaurant

Totally worth the climb up the cramped and narrow staircase of the Jaiwana Haveli, this is a great place to head to for continental style egg, toasts and the perfect cappuccino. With the views of the royal palace on one side, Lake Pichola on the other and yummilicious food in front of you, this place is as close to perfect as it gets for a cosy meal. Don't forget to try the Malai Kofta and Veg Biryani they serve here!

Eating here will cost two people about INR 500.

    Address: 14, Lalghat
    Jaiwana Haveli
    Telephone: +91-294-2411103

  • Whistling Teals

A modest restaurant that serves yummy food, Whistling Teals has earned itself a good reputation in a small time. Don't judge a book by its cover takes an all new meaning with this restaurant, as though the facade may not be the best, the food certainly figures in that category. Try Laas Maas, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Lababdar here and polish all this off with the excellent cold coffee they serve. Chilled out atmosphere, attentive staff, good food at fair prices - need I tempt you more?

You will end up shelling out about INR 1200 when eating here.

    Address: Bhattiyani Chohtta
    City Palace Area

My suggestion: Do try the local mutton dishes available in the city of Udaipur. You will return to your hotel with a happy tummy and a happier tongue and thats a promise! I wish you the yummiest holiday ever!
