about govardhan hill

Govardhana Hill is a sacred hill located in the town of Vrindavana. Popularly known as Giriraj, a parikrama of this hill is considered auspicious. Every year thousands of devotees flock to this destination to do parikrama of this hill bare foot. Every year, after Diwali, Govardhan pooja is done, which is the most important pooja for the localities. In this day, Lord Krishna defeated Lord Indra, who is the deity of rain and thunder.
