Kanchenjunga

Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world. Rising to an elevation of 8,586 m from the ground, it is located in a section of the Himalayas called Kangchenjunga Himal. It is made up of 5 peaks and is even worshipped by locals in the area.

Nanda Devi

Nanda Devi is the highest mountain in Uttarakhand and the second highest mountain in India. It is part of the Garhwal Himalayas and translated literally to “Bliss-Giving Goddess.” The peak is regarded as the patron-goddess of the magnificent Uttarakhand Himalaya.

Reo Purgyil

Reo Purgyilis the highest peak in Himachal Pradesh. It lies on the border that Kinnaur district shares with Tibet. It is lined by the Satluj River and stands tall at 6816 m making it one of the mightiest mountain peaks in the country.

Kamet

One of the highest points in India, Kamet is the second highest mountain peak in the Garhwal region of India. It is situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, close to the border with Tibet. Standing at 7,756 m ,it is said to resemble a giant pyramid topped by a flat summit area with two peaks.

Sandakphu

Sandakphu is the highest peak in the state of West Bengal. It is situated at the edge of the Singalila National Park in Darjeeling district on the Nepal border. 3,636 m high, Sandakphu also has a small village on the peak. You can also get a mesmerising view of Kanchenjunga peak from here.

Anamudi

Anamudi peak is located in the south Indian state of Kerala. It is the highest peak in the Western Ghats and South India. Located at an elevation of 2,695 m, the name Anamudi literally translates to "Elephant's Forehead," as the peak resembles an elephant's head.

Doddabetta

Doddabetta is the highest mountain peak in the Nilgiri Hills standing at a height of 2,637 m. There is a reserved forest area around the peak. It is a popular tourist attraction of South India, with easy road access. The Chamundi Hills can be viewed from this peak.

Hardeol

Hardeol, also called the “Temple of God” is one of the major peaks of the Kumaon Himalayas. It is situated at the northern end of the Milam Valley, in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Hardeol is also considered a very sacred peak.

Chaukhamba

Chaukhamba is a cluster of four mountain peaks in the Gangotri Group of the Garhwal Himalaya. Chaukhamba I, is the highest peak in the group standing at 7,138 m. It lies at the head of the Gangotri Glacier and forms the eastern anchor of the group.

Trisul

Trisulis a group of three Himalayan mountain peaks of western Kumaun, with Trisul I being the highest reaching a height of 7,120 m. The three peaks resemble a trident (trishul), believed to be the weapon of Lord Shiva.
