Let the sun set and the IT city transforms itself into a flashy disco city. There are so many discos, clubs and pubs in Bangalore that you’ll actually lose count! Club hopping could be a great idea too! Here are a few options that you could look at. Go ahead put them at the top of your to-do list and party hard.

Great music, truckloads of people and a wide range of alcohol - I Bar is a fancy place within a five star hotel for you to go dancing to. It allows for stag entry as well! You can either enjoy your drink at a corner table or get your whole gang to party on the dance floor. The DJ will never disappoint you. Plus, if you are here on a Friday, get ready to groove to some Bollywood beats. It’s a fun place and mostly has a crowd of working professionals.

The entry fee is INR 1000 and a pint of beer will cost about INR 300.

From now on, cowboy hats, horses guns and boots won’t just remind you of Texas ranches but Lock and Load - a pub right here in Bangalore! Dedicated to the cowboy theme, it has illustrations from graphic novels to support the same. Add to this the jazzy dance floor and a few drinks. Well these are enough to lift your spirits! Raise a toast to the live music band. Wear that cowboy hat you’ve been always wanting to and get ready to rock the dance floor!

Entry will cost you between INR 500 to INR 1000.

  • Tavern

Well, this place looks exactly like an english tavern and it serves beer too! Whether you pick to cozy up on the couches or the raised chairs and tables, your beer will taste awesome nonetheless. Pair it with some peanut masala and french fries and you are good to go. Here, you’ll see a mixed crowd - students, couples, office goers and even loners loving their beer. Yes, they allow stag entry. With it’s old world charm and waiters dressed in classic white and black the pub picks pace around 9 pm. It’s also a great place to cheer a match! Good food, prompt service and awesome crowd. There’s news for the ladies! Wednesday is ladies Night. Just glance through the board when you are here, you might get lucky enough to bag an offer too.

Shell out INR 155 approximately for a pint of beer.

  • Pecos

An old Bangalore favourite. So what makes it so popular? Could it be the typical classic rock and blues? Or the pocket friendly nature it has? Is it the food? The awesome beer? Free pop corn? Well it is all of the above. Well, it ain’t a fine dining place but a place to enjoy some good music and beer. Grab a beer and get some dosa, chicken, prawns, beef to go with it. The place brims with the college crowd. They love the place and so will you.

Shell out about INR 800 max for two people.

Timings: 10:30 am to 11:30 pm

Most pubs in Bangalore are concentrated around MG Road, Brigade Road, St. Marks Road and Church Road. You can just walk around the place and make up your mind. Most five star hotels have their own discos and pubs. If you are looking for top class places, head towards the top end hotels. Though Bangalore has a happening nightlife, shop shuts at 11:30 as per rules. So if you plan to go clubbing start early.
