How is the nightlife of Kochi?

Kochi features a bright and enthusiastic nightlife. The traditional features of the city enlivens at night along with the electrifying pub and bar culture that has been thriving in lately. Night shopping is another thing that is enjoyed by people here; especially the youngsters who come back from work late and wants pick up things on the way home.

The primary attraction at night, however, remains the Kathakali performances that are bookable from any hotel you are staying in. It is a kind of traditional dance form where words are translated into exactly stipulated gestures and though you might not get all, it is very spectacular. Also Kalaripayattu demonstration is another thing that is enjoyed by people both tourists and locals. Cochin Cultural Centre is an ideal venue for such cultural performances. The shows start from 6.30p.m. Kathakali performances are held at the Draavidia Art and Performance Gallery too. So, if you are interested in knowing the culture of Kochi then you will not be disappointed with the fascinating nightlife of the city.
