Jindal Naturecure Institute in Bangalore is a charitable Naturopathy institute established in 1978 by the SJ Jindal Trust. It is often popularly known as Jindal’s Health Farm or Jindal’s Institute. Right from its inception, the focus of the institute has been on the curative tools of Naturopathy and Yoga. JNI describes itself as a charitable Naturopathy hospital. It has 258 beds, including 24 in the free ward. JNI is now one of the most wellrecognised names in Naturopathy and attracts people from all over the world, especially those suffering from diseases like asthma, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, migraine and abdominal problems. JNI takes patients suffering from certain specific ailments. The common among these are: Migraine, sinusitis, bronchial asthma, a range of digestive disorders, hepatitis, menstrual disorders, high blood pressure, high uric acid, high cholesterol, diabetes, insomnia, depression, spondylitis, arthritis, gout, hypothyroidism, obesity.… For the exhaustive list, visit their website jindalnaturecure.org/diseasestreated. html.

Ideally, doctors at the institute recommend that a person undergoes treatment for a 3-week period; a shorter 10-day course is also offered. A stay at JNI offers the central therapy of a controlled diet, prescribed by trained doctors depending on the person’s ailments and physical condition. This is supplemented with yoga sessions, counselling, physiotherapy, physical workouts, laughter therapy, specific treatments meant to cleanse the stomach and intestines, mud baths and massages. The costs of these treatments are included in the fee paid for the entire stay.
