This was a different experience. A living orthodox tea factory like the Hollywood movie "night at the museum", this factory is "day at the museum". old machinery from 1879 are running and one more special is the building, no civil construction, the entire 4 floor stands on wood and iron. The museum was amazing, I just remembering my olden days. History of Munnar can be learned. My trip was explored with one more information that this plantation was the first plantation in Munnar started in 1879. I bought white from their outlet. very healthy. Daily manufacture tea can be bought here.

It was a nice trip to Lockhart tea museum. Most of the people who are visiting Munnar don't know about this place. Can learn about tea history

A must seen place in munnar. Only visiting here one can understand how munnar was and it's heritage value. This Lockhart is the first plantation in munnar.

Its a heritage building. Lockhart Tea Museum have two major activities viz: Guided orthodox tea factory tour and visit to Tea Museum. The building lasting from 1936 and its usp is no civil work all wooden floor. nice to see
