about lumbini park

A perfect place for a fun family trip, Lumbini Park in Hyderabad has everything to make your day enjoyable. From boating facilities, eateries, fun-rides to wide, open spaces, and spectacular views of the Hussain Sagar Lake, you won't lack for entertainment. Kids are sure to love this place. Apart from regular boating to the middle of the Hussain Sar lake (near the Buddha statue), there are two boats named Baramati and Taramati which also host parties. Every evening, there is a musical fountain which enthrals the crowds with some splendid waterworks.

But, the one attraction that takes away the crown is the laser show. Jets of water are shot up in the sky to make a water screen, on which the history of the city is projected. Truly something worth seeing, don't you think? Apart from that, the floral clock at the  Lumbini Park in Hyderabad is also quite popular with the tourists. Make sure you have your cameras ready. The AP tourism considers the park to be an asset to the city. The result of the 1994 Buddha Purnima Project undertaken by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA), the park has become a raging success amongst tourists and locals. It has been named after the birthplace of Buddha.
